Artist's Comments
The second of the three Single Trans Restroom series, this for a Female-to-Male transgendered individual. The meaning of the symbols (the arrows) is not as apparent in the second and third pieces, which is actually quite intentional. It it were a more clear meaning, I don't think those that saw it would question it as much as they do not. The purpsoe of these shirts is to bring about questioning and even possibly confusion, and I belive the absolute vagueness of the design brings that about quite nicely.
The stencil on the right would be an example of on a white shirt, the black as an example on the black shirt. This will be a TWO layer stencil due to the binary translation seen here. All colors will be (of course) available. AAC, UnBinary, and all art involved is © Tyber Alicia Moniak |
